Meet Your Team
Kristin M. Horman, DDS
“It is a wonderful experience to be able to witness, firsthand, what an amazing impact it has on a person when I can give them a beautiful, confident smile.”
“Shortly after graduating from dental school, I was introduced to the method of aligning teeth through Invisalign,” says Dr. Horman. “It didn’t take long for me to realize how much I enjoyed the transformation that occurs as a result of orthodontics, but also the long-lasting relationships that were formed with my patients over the course of treatment. As a result, I decided to further my education and also become certified in the more traditional methods of correcting orthodontic issues with braces and appliances.
“Technology changes so much in so many aspects of our lives, and dentistry is no different. So I consider it important to stay current with the latest advances through literature and continuing education courses. As I learned about the new self-ligating bracket technology, I was eager to incorporate it into my practice. And every year, advances are made with Invisalign treatment.
“It is a wonderful experience to be able to witness, firsthand, what an amazing impact it has on a person when I can give them a beautiful, confident smile.”
In her spare time, Dr. Horman enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and cooking.

Gina
COA, Dental Radiation Technologist
“Orthodontics has always been an interest of mine,” says Gina, who is a certified orthodontic assistant and dental radiation technologist. “Every day, I enjoy meeting and knowing our patients on a personal level.”
Gina had braces in her early teen years, and her experience helps her understand patients and answer their questions.
“It’s nice to see the rapid change in patients,” she says. “I have patients tell us that they have never smiled and never had such big grins on their faces before. There is nothing better than knowing that I helped them feel good about themselves.”
In her spare time, she volunteers for the Smithsburg Band Boosters, PTA, and Ringgold Church of Christ. “I love to watch my children play sports, travel to the Outer Banks, and spend time with my family and friends,” she says.
Amber
QDA, COA, CDA, Dental Radiation Technologist
“I did not choose this field—it chose me,” says Amber. “I had just finished four years of braces, and my orthodontist asked if I would like to work with him!”
Amber is a certified orthodontic assistant, as well as a certified and qualified dental assistant.
“At work, I enjoy meeting new patients and providing them with personal service,” she says. “I hope to provide all our patients with dental knowledge, confidence, and the desire to smile.”
After work, she participates in several annual charity and fundraising events to help her local community of Jefferson County, West Virginia. “I love cooking, shopping, entertaining, and spending time with family and friends,” she says.
